i have been depressed myself alot latly, and i have seen alot of my freinds go through it too, and i have realised depression is like a plant, it grows and plants its seeds in our mind while spreading amist of depression around us sometime bring down the mood.
------------------------------------------
*updated analysis*
From experience, i feel depression is like a plant.
It grows inside your mind and thrives off you while spreading its seeds like an unwanted weed. At the same time when your depressed you can try to hife it but its always obvious and as a result the mood around you seems to turn as if the depression is spreading a mist around you clouding out everything but itself.
A the same time it has a terrible sting on your life in a way that can hinder you in so many ways, but at the same time these days it seems to be glamoured up to look good and attract people to it, like light to the flys.
This is how in interpret depression.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
